Rouge Louboutin revamped - Embossed nail art

Well hello there!

So... wearing Rouge Louboutin on its own wasn't really as much of an orgasmic feeling as I had hoped, mostly because it's: just.red. Please, don't get to my jugular just yet, I know it's harsh of me to say but I think it's true.

When I get a luxurious item it's because it has a special something and certainly not because it's an all cap commercial for the brand. I find it stupid to jiggle around in town with a purse that has whatever-brand all over it, it makes me feel like a living merchandising machine and I ain't even paid for it. Nobody got time for that! But that's just me, I get that and I respect whatever makes you happy, hands down.

With that said, what makes a polish luxurious to me is its wow factor: special color, amazing duochrome/multichromeness, great finish, fine mix of glitters, new effect and what have you. Rouge Louboutin is just red, dude. A nice red packed in the most jaw breaking packaging ever.

So after I had worn it for a whole day I was about to take it off and I thought to myself: it's the only time you'll wear Rouge Louboutin because you want to keep the bottle intact, and it's not even going to last a miserable two days? Pas possible.

I had just received some silver nail stickers that fitted right in there... so here's what I came up with:
Pretty basic, but it kicked ass! I don't know, it feels more luxurious to me anyways. What do you think about it?

ABC Challenge: Letter T - Astor Tickle my Triangle + Bourjois stickers

Hao everyone!

For today's installment I have Astor's most porn polish: Tickle my Triangle. Seriously though, am I alone in thinking this is sex-related? Despite of its name, I sported a quite understated manicure:
The birds are from Bourjois Easy Nail Art kit that my mama brought me back from Paris ^^ It comes with some striping tape and 92 stickers, and I just love it. Aren't those little black swallows über cute? I love swallows... I will never ever get a tattoo done because I hate even the idea to be bound to something permanently. BUT if John McClane was to point a gun to my face and force me to? I'd have a vintage swallow just like so:
My impression is that the stickers should/could have been flatter; my perfectionist polish-lover eye kept seing the borders of the bird sticking out... But I am sure I was the only one to notice! :)

Do not forget to enter my GIVEAWAY if you're interested in winning Kiko's Sun Pearl Lacquer collection!

Take care,

First swatch. Fail swatch.

Aloha! :)

I was recently contacted by Born Pretty Store to review a couple of their products of my choice. If you scroll down, you'll see I picked some Ferrari nail stickers. The question you should be asking yourself right now is: "why?" ("wtf" and funny faces are also accepted as good remarks). I have no idea! I thought it might be fun, I guess. And it has been so, but in a different way than I imagined...

First off: this is what you get if you order this item in number 103 (they're on sale right now, in case you're still on to take this amazing trip to nonsense-land after this post). Two ranges of 8 different sized stickers, with different patterns. The main question of this post, you'll have noticed by now, is: WHY? And again, I have no idea!
As the offered sizes didn't match my nails and I was way too lazy to cut the stickers in the right shape I decided to do a simple accent nail with it. Thumbs up ;)
Now my comments are the following: (i) this is a VIP sticker; you nail has to be freakin' huge for the sticker to fit completely. (ii) it has not been designed for curved nails; you can easily see how the sticker could not lay even and smooth. Hence the fail. Keep watchin'.
This is the final result of carefully applying the sticker on my thumb, after pulling (and thus slightly deforming) the sticker. Yuck.
Sorry, you can't un-see now!
I decided to give it a second chance, on my middle finger this time. Slightly better, but still shameful. I mean, honest, would you walk out the door with this on?
Needless to say this product was sent to me for my honest review; I think I've been the original M. you all know, no sugar added. I wouldn't repurchase this. BUT if your nails are flat you will probably be luckier than me with them.

Take care y'all!

Nude, fishnet and roses.

Hey Ladies,

Today I'm going to do a quick post, for it's my first weekend in a month that I'm actually free of work. Or, to be more accurate, that I take for myself and pretend it to be work-free.

I wore that mani for five days a couple of weeks ago. I was in a rush and wasn't even in the mood for a mani. Shame on me. But I was not as agonic as to be ready to wear anything. Or worse: nothing. No.

So I remembered those stickers I had bought at Blanco half price (that is Eur. 2.49 I think) and put them on. It was easy peasy, which I highly appreciated because sincerely I'd start crying otherwise. KO on a Sunday; man, I don't even want to remember the week that followed.
I'd give them a 9/10 overall. The lacking point is because they truly stinked the first day of wear; otherwise I was very happy with them.

Have a wonderful weekend!
