Mish Mash Challenge - Around the World. Rising sun manicure. Bohem.

Well hello :)

Super late post for the *Around the World* prompt like 27 weeks ago in the Mish Mash Challenge...

I give you the rising sun though, that's gotta count for something!
This gorgeous jewel-like orange is from Kiko's Sugar Mat Collection, and the rising sun silver nails are from Bohem.

I am missing in action and will probably be for a while... Have a nice Christmas :)

ABC Challenge: Letter W - Water Marble + Kiko Sugar Mat nº 644 Sea Blue

Hey there!

Now, letter W has forced me to get out of my comfort zone and... water marble a little! I have to confess I was completely stuck with this one; I kept looking for ideas starting with W and all I could picture in my head was "who". Yup. What was I gonna do with that? No fucking idea... UNTIL my brilliant Boyfriend suggested water marble as the most obvious idea ever. <<I. Am. Proud.>>

So that's what I did. Although not to push the limits of my abilities too much, I kept it simple and... do-able, let's say. Because when I mess up my manicures, or when I try stuff that does not want to come out as I imagined or when I just suck with anything polish-related... When that happens, you don't want to be near. Lucky you, reading this from the other side of the screen. But my neighbors? They're all signing a petition to ban nail lacquer from our building - (they took the idea from the British postal service, which classified it as über-duper hazardous).

Whatever: here's my first try at water marble. WWIII can wait: I am pleased.
The base is Kiko Sugar Mat nº 644 in Sea Blue, and it completely "blued" my mind [ha.ha.], it's just gorgeous. Its glitter shines even in the shade, and the textured effect is subtle yet visible. What you see is two coats, although I could have done just one.

Bonus badass-hoarder picture:
I hope you enjoyed!

Kiko Sugar Mat no. 641, Strawberry Pink

Hello dear readers!

Although I thought I would not be a big fan of sugar mat / liquid sand polishes, this has been my first pick among the polishes I hauled last week at Kiko's. The reason is  that Strawberry Pink is rich, shimmery, summery and gorgeous in the bottle, and I felt physically compelled to try it on. I am not disappointed, but positively surprised!

What you will see next is ONE coat of Strawberry Pink by itself. Please look at that gold shimmer peeking through the mat gritty polish! Also, take a look at the length of my nails *proud*
The feeling was a tad too rough for me at that point; I like my nails smooth just because I am boring like that. So I slapped one thick coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails and one coat of INM Out The Door TC. Strawberry Pink is definitely a TC eater, so even after that the grittiness was still visible. Hey, what's the point of taking off all the fun, right?
I am quite in love with this polish, to my surprise! Application was flawless, and I am glad the sugar effect can be moderated and become really fun even to my taste. The color is amazing, that's obvious, and will be perfect for summer ^^ I have been lucky enough to sport those in a sunny evening in Sitges. 1 up! :D

Be bad and kill boring nails!

Kiko Haul. Sugar Mat Collection. Mirror Collection. Celebration Collection.

Howdy!

This haul has made my day, hands down. (Click on it to enlarge!)
A little precision is needed though. I wish all this was for me, but it isn't. The story goes like this: I took a look at Kiko's website yesterday, with my friend Sara, and realized I had missed not one but three collections! What a pity? No, what a miracle! Polish orgy. Polishgasm. Plénitude

Of course, I needed to go and see by myself ASAP so I dedicated today's lunch break to it. I took another glimpse at the site in order to lust a little more and... BAM! Printable 20% off coupon. Off everything, might I add.

I immediately thought about my dearest Jin, mailed her and... Well, one thing led to another. She wanted the entire Sugar Mat collection and some back ups. I wanted some Sugar Mats, some Mirrors, some Celebration polishes and one regular nude base. That's that.

So actually 60% of what you see is leaving for a loving home in Israël soon. Yes. I am a cheater like that!
