Mish Mash Challenge - Holo. Chained love.

Hey there!

I hope y'all are doing fantastic! :) Today's prompt of the Mish Mash Challenge is holographic. You would think I had a lot of ideas featuring a bunch holo polishes... But I didn't.
I like holos, but I've never gone crazy about them. The holo trend seemed to pass just near me without getting me all in - my pocket feels relieved. So I decided to slap on the one I never used: Nfu-Oh NFU 66.

For the "nail art" I used Nailz Craze stamping plate no. 06 and then added some dotted chains... I will not further comment on this as I totally disliked it. Well, this is also about the fails, so there you go!
I have to say I am not in the best nail art period of my life, it's as if my creativity had gone dry. I am just able to lust over other people's work and never seem to get the courage to sit at my table and light up the nailporn demon inside of me. Off I go!

Take care,

M.

ABC Challenge: Letter P - Pink, Orly Miss Conduct

Hello you!

Okay so the story goes like this: last week, I was ahead of my game and had not one but two takes for letter O. This week, however, I feel like a sad copycat because the mani I set aside was posted by an amazing lady as her letter O. I am thus posting something you've all already seen...

HOWEVER I hope the awesomeness packed inside Orly's Miss Conduct (Pink) will impulse you to stay a little more and take a look at my pictures :p Beware, I had to add my own twist. And as a friend of mine say: "if you do something, then do it big". No wonder he did, as he is sleeping in jail now... but that's another story. I simply added my dearest snake to the photoshoot, take a look:
What you see is two coats of Orly Miss Conduct + TC. Let me tell you: I am impressed. This polish is dead gorgeous and has easily made it to my top ten faves of all times. I have taken a closer look to its siblings (Naughty or Nice Collection) and haven't found a decent comparison. Too bad... I'd happily buy this one in every.Possible.Shade.

Take care!

ABC Challenge: Letter H - Holographic, Pupa no. 033 (Part 2)

Aloha everyone!

I'll admit I started to freak out about letter H. I was not ahead of my game, and a fearlessly rocked a manicure this weekend (that I'll show you later on) completely unrelated to letter H. I gave it a long thought, trying to do some language engineering so I could post about it today... but everything was too acrobatic to be accepted. So I even resigned myself to not post anything this week... Until I remebered I had some archives! [speedy neurons, ya.]

Thus, this is a manicure from the vault that was not meant to see the light of the bogging world. It's the Part 2 of a manicure I showed you back in 2012, that you can see here. It's my right hand so please bear with me.
As you can see it was all about contrast. The base is Pupa Holographic in no. 033 and the central lines are done with regular blue rhinestones purchased off eBay. The pictures are crappy crappy and I wasn't able for the life of me to take a decent picture of my right hand. What a shameful pose, ha! Whatever, you get the gist of it.

Take care!

Pupa Holographic 033 revisited Part 1.

Hey there!

I hope you're wearing nothing boring on your claws! :) As I told you in my previous post, the sun was not willing to cooperate with and my gorgeous holo last weekend so I decided to add some fun to my nailies.

Lines. I love lines. Straight and clean lines. So I taped off the centre of the nail and painted with Sally Hansen Pacific Blue on top; thus combining two loves of mine (have I mentionned I adore Sally Hansen Pacific Blue? My first post EVER featured this perfect polish...). Here you go:
How do you like it?

Pupa Holographic 033 + Snake update

Hello there!

Only one week before Christmas, YAY! My mood was so light and clear last weekend that I decided to wear a holo in winter. See, you always have to be optimistic. And besides it was a sunny day, and the cold cold winter has not yet arrived in the fantabulous city of Barcelona. If it ever arrives, that is...

So here's Pupa Holographic polish in nº 033, that Jinny Jin sent me on a swap some time ago:
Even if the sun was there like the public service it is (Mafalda, anyone?) it wasn't the bright sun I am accustomed to, and all the holo goodness of this little Pupa did not shine it all its splendeur. As a compensation, I did some nail art over it; breaking all the precedents, I did different stuff in my right and left hand, so there will be two more installments featuring this Pupa. I hope it sounds good :)

Non polish-wise, I HAD to update you on how I decorated Discordia's viv, which I consider pretty much finished now:
So I changed the nasty background that came with the viv, a brownish stone-like polystyrene shit, and replaced it by this landscape that reminds me of Gladiator. Add Buddha and some ivy, and you'll get a much cooler stuff to have in your studio.

Discordia seems happier than before, she's often out and about exploring, and even spying on me I would say :p

I'd love to read your thoughts on all this :)

Dripping paint nail art.

Hey there,

Today I am glad to present you something I've been wanting to do for a long long time; I still wonder why I didn't give it a go earlier. Dripping polish!
Please, be easy with me: first time here. Some fingers came nicer than others, but overall it has been a win. I'll let you judge:
I know, you are wondering what was that gorgeous purple, right? [If not, take another look!]. Base is Nfu-Oh nº 64 and the drips were made using Nfu-Oh nº FS16, both courtesy of Jin
Number 64 needs a proper presentation because OMG that is one batshit crazy holo effect! That lavendar base leans on the pink side just enough to suit my dead-like skintone [Let's say immortal-like skintone, shall we?]. Wah, let's let the pictures do the talking...
Excuse the lightning, the weather wasn't in to play along with me, so I've had to use artificial lightning to expose such gorgeousness. This is two coats, no top-coat. Oh la là, right?!

Kiko Peacock Green + holiday spam

Hello there,

I am back, and the little trip has been: perfecto. If you asked my ass, he would say he has felt each and every one of the 1200km we have drove. And that's exactly why the freedom of speech has to be violated sometimes. Sorry dude.

The mani: I couldn't help myself and I purchased Kiko Peacock Green for myself while at San Sebastián. I have worn it for three days with minor chipping (and for those who are interested, I used Essence's All in one Base as my underwear) and ab ab absolutely loved it. Here it is:
Here's Kiko Peacock Green. What the f*ck, right? It's NOT green (hey, 1 up Kiko). But it's awesome, so who cares?

Off-topic: Here are some spam pictures of my trip to Jaca and San Sebastián. Follow me.
That was the view we had from our hotel window in Jaca. Peaceful.
And that is the beach of San Sebastián.
Its shore.
Its food: pintxos.
Its streets. And hello, M.
The Boyfriend and the machine.

I hope you enjoyed the ride; I sure did. Take care!

Kiko Holographic grey

Hey there!

I just wanted to show you the polish I am currently rocking at work; it might be no news for you, but this is my first holo ever. I thought it would be somehow shitty, and I couln't be more wrong. I love this stuff, seriously!
This is the first time I show both my hands / nails in their true to life state: post-moving out. It could also be named post apocalyptical nails, slightly exaggerating the whole thing. The nail on my middle finger (left hand) has already broken two times, and it's been recently the turn of my index finger (right hand) - all I have to say to my nails is: if I had wanted asymmetric nails I would be the happiest woman in the world but hey, guess what? I just want my nails to be perfect. F*ck me, right?!

Well Ladies, happy monday. Do not get discouraged for Friday is on its way already!
