Heart tips over Superficially Colorful Lacquer in GIGGLY

Howdy!

Let's follow up with Superficially Colorful Lacquer in Giggly, shall we? I found this polish to be so lovely as its creator, Jin, so I tried my hand at some textured heart-tips:
Heart tips, that's something I could not really do with oval nails; and I was dying to! I think they are so cute! I stopped at two accent nails per hand because I don't use to be all-in when it comes to a girly girly manicure. It's just that I naturally give this image of a smiling harmless young lady and I prefer not to give more circumstantial evidence in this regard. Basically because the image people get and my true self just don't match.

Well, just a couple of weeks ago I ordered a Coca light and the waitress asked me for my ID. I am still traumatized.
- Excuse me?
- Your ID... I mean, you look so young.
- For what?
- For the beer you ordered?
- What beer? I ordered a Coca light..!

For Christ's sake, I am f*cking 24 years old! Having been a criminal lawyer in practice for 2 years is obviously not phisically marking. I hate when this happens. Just imagine when it happens in Court!
Although I have to admit it has made my work quite easy sometimes... *evil smile* Never ever judge someone by her looks. Never.

Back to the cute heartsies... They have been done with OPI Pussy Galore, the manageability of which surprised me. For a textured polish, it behaved very well: it did not get textured right on the heart's borders, you know? When it has to be nice, smooth and curvy.

Hope you like them! I am off enjoying my last day in France!

Take care & be bad,

M.

ABC Challenge: Letter S - OPI Solitaire (Bond Girls Collection) + GIVEAWAY!

Howdy!

I thought I'd hate this textured trend and hey, how wrong was I? I just love it - when there's glitter or shimmer in it. I am still struggling to like "plain" textured polishes. We'll see, maybe time will prove me wrong (again)!

Solitaire, however, has been somewhat of a disappointment. I saw Yun's amazing swatches and fell in love with it, immediately purchased it off eBay, cursed the wait, slapped it on my nails and... meh. It's bumpy, yeah. But it's like a bumpy-fail. Not flat enough to be a classic polish, and not textured enough to be a liquid sand. Am I feeling the downfall because Strawberry Pink was absolutely ahhh-mazing?
On to some exciting news! I have a giveaway for you today! :D I just hit 35.000 visits and I feel like celebrating, so...

If you want to win the 4 polishes of Kiko's Sun Pearl Nail Lacquer Collection, just take your chance here! It's open internationally until June 6, and there will be one lucky winner :) Do you feel tempted?

Not yet? Then maybe you can take a look at my two swatches: River Green and Chili Pepper Red
a Rafflecopter giveaway

Planks a lot!      [Only a lacquer addict could laugh about that!]

Kiko Sugar Mat no. 641, Strawberry Pink

Hello dear readers!

Although I thought I would not be a big fan of sugar mat / liquid sand polishes, this has been my first pick among the polishes I hauled last week at Kiko's. The reason is  that Strawberry Pink is rich, shimmery, summery and gorgeous in the bottle, and I felt physically compelled to try it on. I am not disappointed, but positively surprised!

What you will see next is ONE coat of Strawberry Pink by itself. Please look at that gold shimmer peeking through the mat gritty polish! Also, take a look at the length of my nails *proud*
The feeling was a tad too rough for me at that point; I like my nails smooth just because I am boring like that. So I slapped one thick coat of Essence Better Than Gel Nails and one coat of INM Out The Door TC. Strawberry Pink is definitely a TC eater, so even after that the grittiness was still visible. Hey, what's the point of taking off all the fun, right?
I am quite in love with this polish, to my surprise! Application was flawless, and I am glad the sugar effect can be moderated and become really fun even to my taste. The color is amazing, that's obvious, and will be perfect for summer ^^ I have been lucky enough to sport those in a sunny evening in Sitges. 1 up! :D

Be bad and kill boring nails!
