Hey there!
How is your week going so far?
I'm glad to say that I finally found the color I have been on the look of for years, yay! So, I'm glad to introduce to you Orly Au Champagne, for your viewing pleasure.
It's a white based color, with a subtle white / light blue shimmer that is opaque in TWO coats. Surprising for such a light color? Yes, I agree. And that's exactly the quality I was looking for!
Because, you see, I have some sort of philia towards lacquers-opaque-in-two-coats. Yes, I'm devoted to nailpolish, but not at any cost: I clearly prefer two coaters. One coaters are good aswell, because you can always add another coat :p
It's the two-coats-only mania, I guess. The thing is that I am such an impatient/clumsy person that I always manage to get an imperfection on my recently polished nails during drying time. It might be the door, the computer's keypad, a little of the cotton pad, my own hair, whatever. Everything seems to be drawn to my nails. That ain't my fault.
What part of doing your nails gives you the hardest time?
I love this! It looks so fresh and clean :)
ResponderEliminarLoving this color. I agree with Abbienail it does look fresh and clean.
ResponderEliminarthe shimmer in this one is really pretty! i usually apply really thin coats, so sometimes i have to apply at least 2 coats. what kind of top coat do you use? i switch up with seche vite and nyc grand central station and they both dry super fast so accidents don't get to them (:
ResponderEliminar2 coats FTW! :)
EliminarI use SV, so I really get to minimize damages. The problem is that I can't stay still one freaking minute... Sure, SV has simplified my life to a point I can't explain!
Love this colour, I agree with the other comments it looks really fresh and clean. This polish would be fab for a base colour for nail art!
ResponderEliminarThis shade is so powdery and soft. It's really flattering on you! :)
ResponderEliminarAnd I agree with you on the 2 coats thing. I always do two coats, even if I could technically get away with one. Two coats just makes a polish look more saturated and gives it more depth. :)
A huge fan of this type of colour at the moment. Everything seems drawn to my nails too and it ain't my fault either :) love your work :)
ResponderEliminarThanks Maisky :D
EliminarI think it's a conspiration against clean manicures (wink)!
I love this colour :) new follower!
ResponderEliminarYay ^^
EliminarTwo coats? Wow! I can't remember if I got this one or not--I think so--I hope so now that I know it's so well behaved. :)
ResponderEliminarWhat a super colour! Can't believe it's opaque in 2--you're right, for such a light shade, that's really rare.
ResponderEliminarLove the light sheen to this one. It gives the colour some nice softness and texture without getting all frosty. This one's going on my list!
oh this looks so clean and fresh:-)!
ResponderEliminari really like this:-)
This is beautiful! And I can't believe it was only 2 coats! Awesome!
ResponderEliminarI usually don't like whites because they look like white-out on nails lol, but that color is really pretty. I think the shimmer just makes it look so classy and soft! :-)
ResponderEliminarTwo coats is the most I can do. Any more just requires more patience and time than I have. So if after two coats, I can still see a nail line, that is ok by me. :D

I walked pass this polish so many times I can't even tell but seeing it now on real nails... the next time I see it I'm gonna grab it!
ResponderEliminarThanks so much!!
Oh and the hardest part is doing some nail art. I always have this really beautiful idea in my head but it never looks as good on the nails...
Lint flies into my nails during drying time, (Is my house that dusty?) also my hair does if I don't tie it back. AND some part of my body starts to itch....the cat wants something, or I'll bang into something and cause a big dent... it ALWAYS something to ruin a manicure isn't it? LOL! :D
ResponderEliminarI looove this color!! ;)
