Hello Ladies,
Today for letter M of this ABC Challenge I'll be featuring one of Kiko's Mirror polishes, nº 621 in Violet. I've been holding those pictures specifically for today, and I am proud I've been able to hold for so long :) In case you didn't know, I am the impatient kind of gal. Okay, maybe work has helped a little, but I won't say thanks for that...
I remember application being a little tricky, but that's normal with mirror effect polishes. Just remember to be extra careful when applying it, and take your time. My ring finger nail is lost under 3+ coats of polish because I couldn't avoid streaks from showing for the life of me. Yup, that's not the one to pick if you're in a hurry and want your claws to look amazing... I learnt that the hard way. What a HUGE relief the pictures were taken before the crime!
LAST CALL for those of you who haven't entered my 100 posts giveaway yet :) It's ending tomorrow, so hurry up!
M.
Gorgeous!!! I don't know how you waited. I have the same problem with yellow polishes.
ResponderEliminarThank you Dionne!
EliminarSo so pretty! I think I do lack Mirror polishes in my stash! Time to hunt some down ;)
ResponderEliminarLet the hunt start, then!
EliminarOooh it's so pretty and shiny! Have you tried an aquafix base coat yet? I think that really helps with smoothing out the polish just like with some holographic polishes.
ResponderEliminarI don't have any aquafix! I should, for this one and for my holos... But I keep managing not to find any!
EliminarI only have a couple mirror finish polishes - I am not so patient either, and the brush strokes are just bothersome enough for me to not buy this kind of polish. But I do love the way it looks on everyone else. Such a pretty purple too!
ResponderEliminarThank you! :)
EliminarPretty!!! I don't have any mirror polishes but I'd love to try one too. And this one looks especially gorgeous!
ResponderEliminarIt is ^^ Thanks!
EliminarEs precioso, se me asemeja al Shimmer Violet de la colección Arabesque de Mavala :)
ResponderEliminarSí! Es parecido :) Gracias!
EliminarI have never tried a mirror polish; I'm a little afraid of them. This one is absolutely gorgeous.
ResponderEliminarThank you! I was also afraid at first! :) But it all levels out eventually :p
EliminarI love the color here...unfortunately, I don't have the patience that you have, mirror polishes are not for me lol Thanks for sharing!
ResponderEliminarU welcome! :)
EliminarThis looks so pretty, but I dread applying any type of metallic polish mostly because of the streaks and unlike you I have no patience!! Gorge!!
ResponderEliminarHahaha :) I know it's a common thing regarding metallics!
EliminarTo be honest- I don't like mirror/foil finish beacause of the brush strokes... but you can make wonders: there's nothing like that! I'm amazed :)
ResponderEliminarThanks! :)
EliminarIt's a very pretty polish for you - I join the club of those who aren't too excited about mirror/metallic polishes on myself tho LOL
ResponderEliminarI love mirror polishes, but they can be tricky to apply. Great job.
ResponderEliminarWell thank you! :)
EliminarAwesome, looks really classy :)
ResponderEliminarThanks!
EliminarSuper shiny!
ResponderEliminarYup!
EliminarIt looks super nice on you! I don't like metallics other than for stamping so I resisted all these Kikos, but I will definitely purchase some when they go on sale (normally in August over here).
ResponderEliminarI will probably purchase some more when the sales come, too! :D
EliminarI want that polish. LOLOL. Gorgeous. And your pix (especially that third shot)....YOWZAH!
ResponderEliminarLovely job, and congrats on the blogging milestone!
Lisa
Hahaha! ^^ Thank you!
EliminarWhat a pretty color! And I like the finish. I love how reflective it is and I don't mind the streaks much. :-)
ResponderEliminar~ Yun
:) Thanks Yun!
EliminarSo pretty!!!!
ResponderEliminarThanks!
EliminarSuch a pretty shade of purple and well done on your application!!!
ResponderEliminarAwww thank yoU!
EliminarAwww thank you!
Eliminarnice colour! and you have a nice blog! mind to check out my blog? maybe we can follow each other :)

Many thanks, Livia!
EliminarI bought a couple of Mirror polishes (not this one, but the color is supeer nice!) but I have tried them only on a nail wheel and for stamping, and I had some issues with brush strokes even on fake nails... Hope to do better when I'll paint my real nails! :D
ResponderEliminarYeah I had some issues too... The trick is to be patient, I guess! :)
EliminarI love mirrors, but the formula is what gets me. You can use a matte top coat over your second coat, then add another careful coat of the mirror polish and that reduces the brushstrokes alot. At least for other people. When I tried it, I gave up since the formula was part of the problem.
ResponderEliminarThis color is gorgeous though! I'd be willing to give mirror polish another shot for this one!
Nice trick! I will need to give it a go! :D Thanks, Kimber!
EliminarThat's a pretty color! and I have this little thing in my heart for all things mirror-like LOL Is it the crow in me?
ResponderEliminarI do admit that I hate those application stripes with these polishes though... Talk about impatient... ;-)
haha, maybe! I hated application to..!
EliminarThis would be amazing for stamping! I have the Essie Chromes and use them for that since they apply brush strokey.
ResponderEliminarI need to try that out! :)
Eliminarviolet is one of mysterious lady's things! love it <3
ResponderEliminar^^ I agree! Thanks!
EliminarBeautiful color! I agree with Gini, this would probably work great for stamping too :)
ResponderEliminarI have to try that out ;) Thank yoU!
