X nails and other stuff

Hi Ladies,

Long time no see, I hope this marathon I'm currently living will soon decrease, for I'm startig to feel I really miss my beloved habits... I just want to say, at least it's for a GREAT cause :)

Here is a manicure I quickly did on Sunday, simply taping off the "x" and topping the red with a layer of black. I thought using striping tape would make my "x" almost unnoticeable; I'm glad it wasn't so.
As I didn't have much time, I just added some fun to the manicure I had been rocking all week long. It's Anny Open My Heart, and as you can see it's pretty darn well behaved. Yup, the previous picture was taken after 6 days of wear. Awesome, I say. And, for your viewing pleasure, you have it below on Day 1. It's a jelly, so it's definitely not one of my faves, but it's worth to be in my stash. Humm... what isn't, really?
And lastly, I wanted to share with you an experiment that turned out quite good. I'm craving for a chained manicure, and the sweet lady from Copy That Copy Cat told me she uses jewellery chain. I was quite lost, and didn't find what I was looking for on eBay. I know, I know. How is that even possible?
Well, I didn't want to let go so I just did a random search, and came across that necklace...
Not that I would wear that as a proper necklace. But look closer... Yup. Chain. And perfect for nail art. How cool is that? This remedy costed me about 3 dollars, free shipping. If you're interested, just search for "multi-chain gemstone pendant", and voilà!
I hope you find that messy remedy useful :)

Take care, and be bad!

  1. Six days of wear and it still looks that good? Wow. The x idea is a great design. So are you going to cut the necklace and apply the chain pieces to your nails?

  4. Wooow 6 days with the same manicure ? That's amazing. I'm kinda desperate because mine always chip after 1 or 2 days, even though I have a good base coat/topcoat. :( The X mani is pretty cool. You're really going to cut that necklace ? I think it's pretty, haha I wouldn't be able to do that. At least it was cheap..!

  5. hmm... It's sad that it's a Jelly because it's a GORGEOUS red!
How many coats does it need to be like that???
And I really love the way it turned out with the black. I think I need to try that too!

And as for the chain - I can hardly wait to see what you'll do with it!! I dunno, I never thought of it before and if you'd ask me just like that if I would try some chain on my nails, i'd say no way.
But you made me so curios about it now... I just GOTTA see it!!!

  6. I like that X manicure! The geek in me wants to see it in yellow (X-men fan), lol. Personally, I'm kind of in love with that red jelly... and I would totally cannibalize that necklace to make other jewelry or a chain mani! That is one great find!

  11. It is simple but effective! The contrast of the two polishes go perfectly together.
I thought to make chain mani but couldn't find any chains that are proper for my nails. Here in my town there are many automatic machines full with small toys, fridge magnets and so on. My little girl always asks me to get from it something and so I found the perfect chains, in one of the gifts it was a small necklace which my girl did not like it, but for a mani is perfect :)
