Pupa Holographic 033 revisited Part 1.

Hey there!

I hope you're wearing nothing boring on your claws! :) As I told you in my previous post, the sun was not willing to cooperate with and my gorgeous holo last weekend so I decided to add some fun to my nailies.

Lines. I love lines. Straight and clean lines. So I taped off the centre of the nail and painted with Sally Hansen Pacific Blue on top; thus combining two loves of mine (have I mentionned I adore Sally Hansen Pacific Blue? My first post EVER featured this perfect polish...). Here you go:
How do you like it?

Pupa Holographic 033 + Snake update

Hello there!

Only one week before Christmas, YAY! My mood was so light and clear last weekend that I decided to wear a holo in winter. See, you always have to be optimistic. And besides it was a sunny day, and the cold cold winter has not yet arrived in the fantabulous city of Barcelona. If it ever arrives, that is...

So here's Pupa Holographic polish in nº 033, that Jinny Jin sent me on a swap some time ago:
Even if the sun was there like the public service it is (Mafalda, anyone?) it wasn't the bright sun I am accustomed to, and all the holo goodness of this little Pupa did not shine it all its splendeur. As a compensation, I did some nail art over it; breaking all the precedents, I did different stuff in my right and left hand, so there will be two more installments featuring this Pupa. I hope it sounds good :)

Non polish-wise, I HAD to update you on how I decorated Discordia's viv, which I consider pretty much finished now:
So I changed the nasty background that came with the viv, a brownish stone-like polystyrene shit, and replaced it by this landscape that reminds me of Gladiator. Add Buddha and some ivy, and you'll get a much cooler stuff to have in your studio.

Discordia seems happier than before, she's often out and about exploring, and even spying on me I would say :p

I'd love to read your thoughts on all this :)

Black&Red saran wrap manicure.

Hello Señoritas!

How are you doing? I guess you're all in the christmassy move, buying presents, thinking of outfits and what is most important, manicures. Well, I am. As you already know for New Year's eve I'll be wearing the third of the dresses I posted about, which is black and red. So I've started my trial-error process for choosing the perfect nails to go with it.

This is my first attempt: black and red saran wrap manicure (if you're on the look for a tutorial, I did one here).
The colors used are Anny Open My Heart (great red jelly) and China Glaze Liquid Leather.

I really liked the way it turned out BUT considering on New Year's eve the light won't be this intense, I decided to keep looking for something more eye-catching :) Those pictures were taken in indirect sunlight around 13h so you can really tell where there's red and where there's black. But trust me when I say that under artificial lightning or at dawn the manicure looked very dark and maybe a tad too subtle for such an occasion as welcoming a new year.

I'll keep experiencing then ;)

Sensual state of mind result: DRESSES.

Hello & welcome to a 100% off-topic post :) No polish today.

Some of you were curious about what dresses went home with me after my self-proclaimed "sensual state of mind". Basically, I wanted to add some feminity to my corporate outfit. I am a lawyer, not a nun and not a stripper either.

First dress, tested yesterday at work with success: Black peplum dress.
Second dress, tighter but more conservative. The belt is my personal touch:
Third dress, the most "provocative" of the bunch. I decided to wear this on new year's eve with black heels, so that's why I will not step into the office with it for now. I still have to decide if it's too much or if it falls into the work-safe category. Whatcha think?
In case you like them and want to hunt the shops for them, they're all Zara.

So what do you think of them?

Sensual state of mind.

Hello there!

Long time no see, but the truth is, even if I am sorry to have been absent, I didn't want to post crap just to keep posting, you know? I've not been busier than normal, it's just that I've been a little down on inspiration and a good girl not buying polish... So whenever I had the time I just went for a plain manicure, most of the time featuring an already-posted polish. Hence the lack of posts. But I am back (for now), yay!

I have kept my habit to watch shitty programs off YouTube, and it's been the turn of "Hotter than my daughter" lately. It makes me laugh A LOT. But anyhow, true to myself I've also been quite autocritical. And my conclusion is that I've been hiding my body at work somehow. I dress lawyerly, but quite "average". Put simply: I have curves and they are barely noticeable in my "corporate outfit". But the truth is you can "show" some feminity without being vulgar at all, and even being classy. So I decided not to avoid tighter clothes anymore, and bought three dresses right away. Yup, you guessed right, I am a little straight-forward!

I'll wear my first tighter dress tomorrow, and I wanted nails that matched my state of mind, so I went for some Dita Von Teese inspired look. Nails-wise it's classy-classic without being boring. [Note: my new outfit is nothing like Dita Von Teese, don't worry.]
What do you think about these?
I used base coat and one coat of Anny Open my Heart (& reinforcement stickers). If I had to do it again I think I'd try to do the gaps smaller. But I'd need something else than reinforcement stickers for that, right? So I'll have to think about it or listen to your suggestions, if any :)
Let me know!

PS: Have you noticed I've changed the shape of my nails?  [Hurray if you did!] They're less squoval and more almond-like now. Yay or nay?
